Side Locks Waxing – Procedure
-
Consultation
Ask the client about skin sensitivity, allergies, or any recent facial treatments. -
Clean the Area
Clean the side locks (sideburn area) with a gentle cleanser or antiseptic wipe to remove oil, dirt, and makeup. -
Dry the Skin
Apply a small amount of talcum powder to keep the skin dry and help the wax stick to the hair properly. -
Heat the Wax
Warm the wax to the correct temperature and test it on your wrist to ensure it is not too hot. -
Apply the Wax
Using a spatula, apply a thin layer of wax on the side locks in the direction of hair growth. -
Place the Wax Strip
Place a waxing strip over the wax and press gently to ensure it sticks well. -
Remove the Hair
Hold the skin tight and quickly pull the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth. -
Clean the Area
Remove any remaining wax using wax remover or oil. -
Soothe the Skin
Apply aloe vera gel or soothing lotion to reduce redness and calm the skin. -
